Key Responsibilities


1. HR Strategy and Planning

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the   company’s business objectives and SFC regulatory requirements.

    • Design and implement talent acquisition, training, and retention programs to attract top financial professionals, particularly those familiar with SFC regulations.

     • Forecast future workforce needs and create HR plans to support business expansion.


2. Compliance and Regulatory Support

    • Ensure HR policies and processes comply with SFC regulatory requirements, including employee licensing (e.g., SFC Responsible Officer qualifications) and Continuous Professional Training (CPT) records.

    • Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure recruitment and employee management processes adhere to Hong Kong labor laws and SFC regulations.

    • Oversee background checks and licensing application processes for SFC-licensed personnel.


3. Recruitment and Talent Management

    • Lead recruitment efforts, developing effective strategies to source key roles such as Licensed Responsible Officers, traders, risk management, and compliance staff.

    • Design competitive compensation and benefits structures to attract and retain high-caliber financial professionals.

    • Develop and implement career development programs to enhance employee skills and support long-term company objectives.


4. Company Culture and Employee Engagement

    • Build and promote a positive, collaborative, and high-standard company culture aligned with financial industry best practices.

    • Design employee engagement initiatives to boost morale and job satisfaction, fostering a high-performance team environment.

    • Manage employee relations, ensuring fair, transparent communication and conflict resolution mechanisms.


5. HR Operations and Systems

    • Oversee HR operations, including payroll, employee records, performance evaluations, and HR data analytics.

    • Implement and optimize Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to enhance efficiency and data transparency.

    • Drive HR process digitalization to align with the fast-evolving fintech environment.


6. Leadership and Team Management

    • Build and lead a high-performing HR team, ensuring team members are equipped to support company operations.

    • Partner with senior leadership to provide HR insights for business decisions and risk management.


Qualifications

   

 • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of HR management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR role within the financial industry (securities, asset management, or related sectors).

  • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong SFC regulatory frameworks and HR requirements for Type 1 and Type 7 licenses.

  • Deep understanding of Hong Kong labor laws, SFC licensing requirements, and Continuous Professional Training (CPT) obligations.

  • Proven experience in designing compensation structures, employee incentive programs, and talent management strategies.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management and regulators.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and digital HR management tools tailored for the financial industry.

  • Fluency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin (written and spoken), with strong cross-cultural communication skills.

  • Experience in fintech or startup environments is highly desirable.
